ZEMO'S LETTER SERVICE
Write a letterHere for a day.
Then gone.
Your photographs. Your voice. The things you meant to say. Make someone a letter, send one link, and give it 24 hours. Then the link closes and everything in it is permanently deleted.
Nothing to sign up for, on either side. It is free.
One letter. 7 worlds.
A telegram, a game, a tape passed from one hand to another. Choose the one that feels like them. Open a world to try it.
- Night Letter A delivered telegram. Goldenrod form stock, teleprinter ribbon, a red stamp counting down.
- Pixel An 8-bit adventure. Hard pixels, a dialogue box, and a save point that expires.
- Mixtape A cassette J-card. Photocopied paper, biro handwriting, a typed tracklist.
- Neon Marquee A name in lights. Bent glass, chasing bulbs, and a wet pavement holding the glow.
- Cut Paper Made by hand in daylight. Cut paper, torn edges, colour laid over colour.
- Blueprint Drawn to scale. Cyanotype blue, white line work, everything labelled and dimensioned.
- Herbarium Gathered just for you. Sage paper, forest ink and little notes in the margins.
How it goes
-
01
Build it
Pick the occasion, choose the world it lives in, and assemble the page from parts. No account, no email.
-
02
Send the link
Publishing gives you a link for them and a secret link for you. The preview stays blind, so the surprise survives the chat thread.
-
03
It goes
24 hours after you publish, the page and every photograph and film in it are deleted from the server. Not hidden. Not archived.
What goes in it
-
Your photographs
Straight off the camera roll. Sized down in your browser before they ever leave it, one at a time or turned over as a slideshow.
-
Your own voice
Recorded here, on the phone in your hand. No file to find, nothing prepared in advance.
-
Your film
Video played on their phone, not linked out to somewhere else. Record it here or send one you have.
-
Your words
A letter, a banner, a line set apart, a ledger of small things. Written by you, not picked from a card.
-
The numbers
The years counted up in front of them, and the date something happened with the distance from it.
-
Something to do
A cake to blow out, a gift to open, a card to scratch. They act; they do not scroll.
A letter with
an ending.
The photograph, the voice note, the film, the letter. All of it has the same ending. 24 hours after publication, the link closes. The page and every uploaded file are permanently deleted from our servers. There is no archive, no recovery, and no payment that keeps it here.
